How to pass the theory test
You pass the theory test by achieving 43 or more out of 50 on the multiple-choice section and 44 or more out of 75 on the hazard perception test. You must pass both parts to receive your theory test certificate.
What happens after the theory driving test?
You will be told immediately if you have passed or failed the driving theory test. If you pass, you will be presented with a theory test pass certificate and you’re then in a position to book your practical driving test. If you fail, you will need to rebook your theory test.
