Car Theory Booking Options
There are two types of car theory booking that you can make. You can book the standard car theory test at a cost of £23 on weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays or alternatively, you can book an abridged car theory test.
What’s an Abridged Car Theory Test?
You can make an abridged car theory booking if you’ve earned a Safe Road User Award in the last three years. The abridged car theory test is a shorter version of the standard theory test and costs £5 less at £18. However, while the theory test costs less, the Safe Road User Award course costs £35.
The abridged car theory test features 35 multiple-choice questions compared to 50 on the standard theory test for cars, and the pass mark is 30 out of 35.
Car Theory Booking with Book Theory Test Today
You can make a car theory booking with Book Theory Test Today and benefit from our pass protection scheme. If you book your theory test online with us, but fail on one, two or even three occasions, we will rebook your test free of charge – provided that you meet our terms and conditions.
Motorcycle Theory Booking
You can make a motorcycle theory booking from your 17th birthday onwards. For mopeds, no more than 50cc, you can book a theory test appointment from your 16th birthday onwards. If you passed a moped theory test after 1 July, 1996 you don’t need to take a motorcycle theory test.
However, if you’re a car licence holder, you will have to make a motorcycle theory booking in you want to ride a motorbike.
